Rati Japaridze

Rati Japaridze presently works as a Chairman of Protected Areas Agency, his day-to-day job involves the overall administration of all protected areas in Georgia, including national parks, protected landscapes, strict nature reserves and natural monuments.At the time of application for the John Smith Fellowship Programme back in 2007, Rati was a Director General of Sustainable Development Projects Agency at the Georgian Ministry of Environment where he provided management and supervision to the major environmental projects at the Ministry. In the past has been employed by Deloitte Touche, the US Embassy in Georgis, USAID and the International Finance Corporation.

He has a Masters Degree from Columbia University in the United States and a diploma in Economics of Tbilisi State University.
