As of June 2010, Iurie works as a Local Expert to the Prime Minister's Office within the EU High Level Policy Advice Mission of the UNDP.
He is also University Lecturer and Distance Learning Coordinator at the School of Public Health, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy N. Testemitanu.
He was previously a Researcher for IDIS Viitorul, a leading think-tank in Moldova whose mission it to contribute to: the growth of an independent thinking environment in emerging democracies, the strengthening of local and regional governments, and the expansion of civil society.
At the time of the 2005 Programme Iurie was a Healthcare and Social Issues Consultant for TACIS Project Support to the Office of the Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Moldova. Iurie participated in the drafting of the Social and Healthcare components of the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Paper, which was approved by the Moldovan Government. He was responsible for analysing policies and trends in the health and social affairs sector and assisting in drafting sector strategies. He was also involved in research into e-health and its viability in Moldova.
