Oxana Brazhnik

In 2011, Oxana was appointed as Executive Assistant to the President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games.

Oxana's work is focused on public participation and communication, coordinating volunteering initiatives aimed at engaging and uniting people with the Games and Olympic values. She is working closely with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) to share experiences and improve practices.

At the time of the 2010 Fellowship Programme, Oxana was Political Adviser to Mr. V Volodin, Presidium Secretary of the United Russia Party’s General Council. The presidium of the General Council is led by a secretary, Mr. V Volodin, and consists of 23 members. It leads the political activity of the party, such as election campaigns, and coordinates the organization of all principal events such as party congresses and media forums. The presidium also coordinates the activities of its regional departments and assists in planning and managing regional election campaigns.

Oxana provided analytical and informational support to the Mr Volodin including preparing post-electoral analytical reports and briefs on specifically assigned topics (economics, education, social policy, etc.). A large part of Oxana’s work was based on liaising with the media and managing public relations.
