Sergey Sirotenko is the Sports Centre of Excellence Leader of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Russia, Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Russia, and one of the World Economic Forum´s ´Global Shapers´.
In his role at PwC Sergey acts as a liaison between Government officials, business leaders, and world-class experts aiming to bring managerial best practice to the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Additionally, in 2011, Sergey was instrumental in launching the Moscow Hub of Global Shapers, an organization created by the World Economic Forum and aimed at helping young leaders across the globe to engage in socially meaningful projects, building a more inclusive and global society. The Global Shapers movement now has 230 ´hubs´ globally. As a Global Shaper, Sergey is currently leading an online leadership module, educating emerging leaders all over the world. Sergey is also Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Russia and a keen volunteer. He believes in the importance of mentoring as a tool for improving the situation with Russian children-at-risk.
During the Fellowship Programme, Sergey would like to explore how the UK works to engage young people in civil society and develop a leadership model targeted specifically to the younger generation. He also hopes to look at how the UK´s model of holding a large-scale sporting event can trigger positive social change.
