Razaw Ahmed is a Lawyer for the Kurdistan Lawyers Syndicate specialising in civil law and frequently represents female claimants on a pro bono basis. She has also worked extensively for international NGOs including Help Age International, International Relief & Development, Norwegian People's Aid, the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, and ACDI/VOCA, which is an economic development organisation fostering business growth and creating vibrant communities. Razaw is also an experienced trainer having delivered courses on gender-based violence, trafficking, women's rights, project management and legal advocacy.
Razaw’s Action Plan titled “From Women to Women” will focus on building a network to facilitate co-operation between existing not-for-profit service providers working in the field of gender-based violence in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In addition to developing the network Razaw intends to provide participating NGOs with training in project management, rule of law and advocacy.
