Alia Ghararibeh is the Founder and Manager of ShapeShifters M.E., a business training and consultancy company. ShapeShifters was founded to provide business expertise to entrepreneurs and is now involved in implementing a number of USAID capacity building programmes in Jordan, with a focus on supporting female owned small and medium enterprises. Alia also works as a Lecturer at the Business School of the German-Jordanian University. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and has had over 10 years managerial experience in variety of leading organisations in the Middle East.
Alia’s action plan is focused on reducing the gender gap between men and women in Jordan, where currently only 14% of women are active in business. She plans to implement a capacity building training programme that will target both unemployed women and female owned SMEs, with the aim of integrating more women into the Jordanian workforce.
