Hamze Ahmad is Head of Training at the Police Academy within the Institute of Internal Security in Beirut. In his role he oversees the design and regular revision of the training curricula to ensure that they include elements of human rights education. Hamze was previously involved in delivering training and measuring the performance of the first female police recruits.
Building on his significant expertise in police force training design and evaluation, Hamze’s Action Plan focuses on improving the delivery and assessment of the Police Academy’s training programmes. To achieve his goals Hamze is developing robust structures, procedures and guidelines to inform all aspects of the Academy’s teaching. This will cover areas such as trainer recruitment and continuing professional progress, human rights education, curriculum diversification and general revision teaching methodologies.
